Coláiste Íde provides a safe, stimulating and encouraging learning environment that enables our girls to develop their academic abilities and individual talents in an idyllic rural setting. The boarding experience offers stimulation and security, promotes independence, life-long friendships and an efficient use of time. We are committed to providing for the education and personal development of our students to enable them pursue their ambitions and take their place in society with confidence as well educated highly qualified, responsible, caring citizens.

Afternoon, Evening and Weekends

The girls are cared for by a team of trained Supervisors some of whom are past-pupils of Coláiste Íde in the evenings, weekends and overnight. All staff operate “in loco-parentis”. Night staff are on duty throughout the night. The College nurse holds two clinics per day, one in the morning and one in the evening and is on call thereafter.

Open Days & Visits

Open days are held in October. Where possible prospective students and their parents should visit the school to meet the Principal, Manager and staff. The Open Day includes a guided tour of the college and grounds which gives an invaluable introduction to life at Coláiste Íde and enables parents to speak with other students and teaching staff. We facilitate individual visits throughout the year by appointment.
